Buchanan’s Michigan Main Street

In January 2023 LiveBuchanan was formed to follow the steps to become certified as a “Michigan Main Street.” This program focuses on downtown redevelopment through historic preservation, placemaking, and economic development.

For 20 years, “Michigan Main Street (MMS) has assisted communities across Michigan interested in revitalizing and preserving their historic traditional downtowns or commercial districts. The work of the MMS program has impacted communities across the state, while also receiving national recognition.”
